It is crucial to plan for an Initial Travel Consult at 3-6 months before travel plans so that you need vaccinations before visiting your destination. Keep in mind that some vaccines need to administered over specific time frames, typically 3 to 6 months prior to your trip. As such, make sure you schedule an appointment with your doctor well in advance to allow for completion of your vaccine course and relevant travel advise plannning within the recommended time frame.
Please note that travel vaccines may incur additional costs. Thornlie Square Medical Centre does not stock all travel vaccines, so in some cases you may be required to collect your vaccine from the pharmacy and return to have it administered.
